I captured this image right about midnight on January 8th, 2012.  I awoke and went outside to survey the sky as I usually do, looked up, and thought, "What a view!"

So I ran inside and grabbed my camera, fitted it with the 18-55mm kit kens, and took a handheld 2 second shot @ ISO400, F/3.5, then took another for 1/650th of a second.  I combined the two images for the above pic.
